In this dynamic role, you will leverage your expertise in agriculture to identify and engage suppliers, build strategic partnerships, and drive supply growth for DiMuto’s traceable produce marketplace on a global stage. You will also be engaging with the farmers and growers from time to time on the technology aspects of the DiMuto solutions.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Utilize your deep understanding of agronomics and agricultural practices to identify and onboard suppliers for DiMuto’s traceable produce marketplace.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, farmers, and other stakeholders in the AgriFood industry, leveraging your expertise to provide insights and guidance on sustainable farming practices and product quality.
  • Conduct regular visits to suppliers’ facilities and farms to assess product quality, traceability, and compliance with DiMuto’s standards and guidelines.
  • Provide training and support to growers on the use of DiMuto’s traceability platform and technologies, ensuring seamless integration and adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for sourcing and acquiring high-quality produce that meets DiMuto’s traceability standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for growers on technology adoption, best practices in crop management, and post-harvest handling to optimize product quality and yield.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to suppliers, offering guidance and support on agronomic best practices, crop management, and technology adoption to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for expansion and growth in DiMuto’s traceable produce marketplace.
  • Work closely with the sales team to hit sales goals.

What you should have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field.
  • Proven experience in agriculture, agronomics, or related field, with a deep understanding of crop production, farming practices, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of building and maintaining successful relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex agricultural concepts and technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to drive business growth.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change in the AgriFood industry.
  • Ability to travel frequently to visit suppliers’ facilities and farms as needed.
  • Good command of the English language.
